About Us
We build, connect, and amplify Black communities.
How? We curate multi-day, hyper-local, immersive conferences that spark collaboration and action.
Our Pillars
Knowledge
Across the diaspora, Black and Brown communities have resiliently pioneered and produced trends. We amplify local talent to honor, celebrate and perpetuate culture.
Connectivity
Our experiences center on uncovering and sharing the stories of our past. These stories contextualize and energize us toward our paths forward.
Collaboration
Activating long-term engagement, impact and action is what we do. Our events are designed to spark collaboration between attendees, partners and initiatives.
What You Can Expect From Us.
-
We spend hours researching, curating and collaborating with local partners, thought leaders and experts to authentically center local perspectives and community voices. We care about the details, and they’re embedded in everything we do.
-
In addition to prioritizing Black and BIPOC vendors, partners and guides throughout our weekend experiences, we fully center our programming on the history, culture and progress of Black and Brown communities. Seeing our communities move forward is the heart of everything we do.
-
Each year, we host a weekend experience fully representative of a specific community. We believe that interacting with contextualized history, engaging with local talent and culture, and connecting with community leaders and heroes creates the necessary spark to begin seeing community extend beyond geographical lines.
-
Activating long-term engagement, impact and action is what we do. We intentionally design weekends to build sustained connectivity between attendees, local nonprofit partners, and initiatives, because that’s where the real work begins.
